FAQ
What is a dieline?
A dieline is the flattened blueprint of a folded package. It shows where the material should be cut (red) and creased (blue), and serves as the guide for printers and die-cutting equipment.
Which export formats are supported?
SVG for scalable vector editing, PDF at true physical size for printing, DXF with CUT and FOLD layers for CAD and die-cut workflows, plus high-resolution PNG for mockups and sharing. SVG and PNG also embed your uploaded artwork layer.
Do exports include bleed and material thickness allowances?
Set the material caliper in the editor and flap/tuck lengths are reduced accordingly (simplified compensation). For production tooling, add bleed per your printer's spec and verify fold allowances against your material thickness.
Does the 3D preview need an internet connection?
No. The 3D library is bundled with the app — every feature runs entirely offline in your browser.
How does this compare to commercial template libraries?
Commercial platforms host thousands of hand-drawn templates. This studio takes a different approach: every structure is generated by code from your dimensions, so any preset scales infinitely. The trade-off is fewer structural families — but each one is dimension-perfect rather than scaled art.
Is it free to use?
Yes. No sign-up, watermark, or usage limit — everything runs locally in your browser.
